Dry verge capping issues

by Podge » Wed Mar 22, 2023 3:37 pm

I wonder if you could give me some advice on a job I've had done.

This is a dry verge job I had quoted and "completed"- as mortar had failed over the years and it was suggested I had a dry verge put on.

Problem is the work conducted doesn't look right at all.

Also I'm doubting that the size of the dry verge isn't really installed correctly and is more "A shaped" as the pictures show. I can't see of anything on the web that's like this as a comparison. Also surely the reason for this is so that the exposed brickwork is supposed to be "covered" by the dry verge?

Roofer is coming today to settle up and I'm not happy so need to get an outside opinion.

Any thoughts please?

Hi podge,
That does not look at all right.
If you have a look here this is how it should look.

But without the verge boards.
