I am about to put together a duckboard for use over collapsed garden steps. I have brand new scaffold boards for this purpose. These are stacked outside and wedged apart but remain damp from the heavy rain. Would screwing treads across the boards be adversely affected by the timber being damp? I hope to use Reisser cutters of an appropriate length and guage.
