i have recently purchased a 5 hob gas cooker, which also has 2 ovens which run on electricity, it has 12kw output, can i put a standard plug on the electrical wire, or do i need to fit a socket in which the wire will go into
BARRYGE
12 KW DIVIDED BY 240 V GIVES U AN APPLIANCE
RATED AT 50AMPS ( 52.17 A AT 230V ) .
THIS CAN OBVIOUSLY NOT PLUG INTO A STANDARD
13 AMP SOCKET OUTLET .
DIVERSCITY WOULD ALLOW U TO CONNECT TO A COOKER
CIRCUIT CABLE OF 6 MM2 ON A 32 A MCB.
IDEALLY A NEW CIRCUIT OF 10 MM2 0N A 40 AMP MCB
COULD BE A BETTER IDEA .
U NEED TO GET IN A SPARKY AS ANY INTENDED FITTING OF SOCKETS IS NOTIFIABLE WORK, AND IF U LOOK WHAT U HAVE GOT
YOUR SPARK WILL ADVISE .
