Hi,

Wonder if someone can clear up a grey area. I have an en-suite in the bedroom which I am doing up. It is only separated from the bedroom by an arch - no door. I am intending to add spotlights instead of the main light. My question is can I do this as non-notifiable work as I am theoretically not alterating the exisitng circuit? I will merely connect a ELV transformer to the exisitng light cable and then run off 4 spots. Also I want to put a spot directly above the shower cubacle - is IP65 enough?

Sorry stu but as soon as you fit a shower tray it becomes a 'bathroom' & is not only part P able But also all skts in the bedroom Must be RCD protected, as for IP65, I don't know of a higher rated light fitting!
