Exterior Roof Terrace Floor Tiles Advice and information on tiling and fixing tiles to a variety of surfaces

Hi I am new to the site and hope this question isn't too inane! I am planning to buy slate tiles for my roof terrace floor. Do you think 10mm thickness is enough or should it be more. The 30mm sample seems too thick and better suited to patio floor and the shop only has 10mm thick tile as the other option.

10mm should be OK but you need to check the existing structure is suitable for such a covering. Questions relating to strength and flexing must be considered.
