External halogen heater switching methods.

Post by mattress » Fri May 11, 2007 8:44 am

Hi all,

my friend has his own pub. He has recently purchased a shelter for smokers and has decided to buy a halogen heater for their comfort.

The problem is that he doesn't want the heater being left on all day and night while people are not in there. Are there any weatherproof time delay switches or PIRs that will handle switching something of this power (not sure if it's 1.5kW or 3k.W).

cheers

Use any quality PIR or staircase timer push switch to switch a contactor that will handle the load, remembering to fuse down the control circuit from the power circuit, regards SPARX
