Filling a 10mm Hole in PVC Wallboard in Bathroom

by RDB » Tue Dec 19, 2017 8:44 pm

Hi'
Having fitted a bathroom out with PVC wall cladding, I now have a 10mm hole in one panel (long story).
Replacing the panel or cutting a section out would be my last option.
The cladding is off-white marbling.
So, is there anything out there that I can use to fill the hole?
I'm aware of all the usual fillers and sealants but they tend to dry matt, while the cladding has a gloss finish.
I know I'll never get an exact match but if anyone can give me some pointers to doing a decent job, I'd be very grateful.

It probably sounds really odd but iv been working with that stuff few times before and i had exactly the same problem. And man who i worked with showed me really odd way how to fix the problem. We just used pvc filler and when it dried he went over with damp paper to make it perfectly smooth and when it dried again he literally rubbed candle against it to get that slight shine.. so yeah, PVC filler and a candle will do the job.

Thanks TimoS.

I was beginning to think there wasn't an answer to my question but this sounds like a great idea.
I'd never have thought of it!

I'll have to order the filler and then I can get started.
