Hello,

There used to be a door from the living room to the kitchen. This has been removed and the intention is to wall of this section.

My question is should I just frame and board the gap where the door used to be or should I remove the plasterboard up to the ceiling and the join to the right and reboard with full sheets of plasterboard.

Any helpful advice appreciated.

Hi goadelpus,
Glue and screw a frame around the opening timber, form studwork in the opening, fit new plasterboard tape joints and skim whole wall.
