by scotschik » Fri Jun 29, 2007 5:32 pm

Hi can someone please help me...i have managaed to fit one light fitting in my lounge (there are two lights that are operated from 1 double socket) but i cannot for the life of me do the second light.
There are 3 core wires (if thats the word) coming from the ceiling each with a red, black & yellow and green wire coming from it.
I have tried umpteen combinations for the wiring and each time i either get the light staying on,with the first light working or no power at all to either lights.Im at my wits end and with a crick in my neck too :)
Please help,i afraid of the dark haha...thanks :)

Hi look at drawing in colour under 'projects-wiring lights'
your three sets of wires are Live+ Neutral in, L + N out to next light, & L + switched L back from switch, you will end up with 3 reds together in spare term. not connected to light, 2 blk N's to fitting N(blue Flex), last Blk (which should be marked as red with tape/sleeve ) going to Live term (Brown flex) of fitting, regards SPARX
