Fitting Bylaw 30 Kit to Cold Water Storage Tank

by Bcrow90 » Sat Sep 26, 2020 7:23 am

Hi,

Currently have a cold water storage tank, i asked someone to come round to look at cleaning and fitting bylaw 30 kit, he told me i need a complete new tank because the outlet is located at the bottom of tank which can cause it to split. I have looked online and some advice is to have outlet at bottom to ruduce build up at bottom of tank

It only has outlet to feed hot water.

Which Is this correct and will it be safe to just clean and fit bylaw kit

Thanks

Hi bcrow90
Well, if it hasn't split already it's difficult to understand why fitting a byelaw kit should make it do so. Find another tradesman.
