want to run a length of coaxial from a masthead amplifier to a bedroom and terminate it at a new coaxial wall socket. Am OK with the running of cables etc but all the internal walls of the bedroom are victorian lathe and plaster which crumble if you so much as look at them !! - how the #### do you fit a flush mounting pattress box into a wall like that ? or should I only consider doing it on the solid external wall ?

Hi, best to go with solid wall....
lathe & plaster too thick/uneven to use clip in 'plasterboard' box, assuming you could 'fish' the cable down inside wall you could cut lathes against side of timber stud & carefully cut a box hole and fix thro the side of a metal skt box into stud but suspect lots of broken lathes, & nothing to 'make good' to, sorry not much help but have been there!
