Fixing a leaking tap and removing middle section

by Chewy71 » Sat Sep 10, 2022 2:27 pm

Hi, I'm not at one with DIY but I'm trying to fix this leaking tap. I've removed the outer cap but not sure how to take out the middle bit so I can replace the washer. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.

Hi chewy71,
The heads are fixed in place by a splined shaft. The chances are that the chrome bit is stuck on the shaft with lime scale, you will have to carefully lever the head upwards.
Regards S
