Fixing skirting and laminate gap for incomplete laminate flooring job

by johnkal » Fri Aug 06, 2021 12:39 am

Hi there - I hope you can help. Laminate flooring fitted by current owners' friend during lockdown, but he didn't finish the job against one wall leaving a gap of approx 4 inches to the wall. Laminate and skirting board need fitting to complete. Please see pictures. It is assumed that what is seen in the pictures runs along the whole wall which is approx 4m. Mainly looking to see if this is possible to fix/complete or if it looks as though there's an issue which prevented the friend from finishing the job. If possible to fix/complete, also looking to see how expensive fixing it would be. Thanks so much in advance.

Hi johnkai
It’s a matter of finding the right laminate, cutting a strip, fitting it which is always a fiddle and then fitting skirting.
