fixing trunking to wall

by kalpeshv » Sun Aug 05, 2007 1:57 pm

Hi, i'm new at DIY, so hope someone can help me here...
I've got water pipes running again the wall, just above the skirting. With the types of trunking i've seen out there, it usually consists of a backing plate to attach the front part of the trunking to. My pipes are right against the wall, so whats the best way for to cover this to stop it looking unsightly?
Thanks!!

See our boxing in pipes project. If the pipes are just above the skirting it looks good sometimes to box them in down to the floor and put a deeper skirting board on. This gives you a small shelf running along the wall but its much neater than the pipes.
