I have finished taking up the flooring in my flat.
When I first saw it the slope on the floor made it look like it had bad settlement when in fact it was just badly laid flooring.
What I have noticed is that despite the floor being perfectly level
It feels like you are walking downwards but another part of your brain says you know you aren’t and are walking on the flat floor.
I think it is due to the fact that there is a significant difference between the height of the wall at one end of the room and the height of the wall at the opposite end.
It is a bit like the Ames room. If you stand by the window you are a normal height and if you stand by the wall at the opposite end you are tiny
How is this even possible.
