Float on toilet cistern fill pipe stuck

Post by DarrenNI » Sun Jul 19, 2020 9:55 am

Hi folks,

The float on our toilet cistern waste pipe appears to be stuck - it doesn't go down when the cistern empties, and doesn't rise when it fills. (Or it may be that the arm that connects it to the valve is stiff)

There's (hopefully) a video of it here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/N82qZ9BVxAN3wyjJ8

Is there a way to fix this, or will I need to fit a new fill valve?

Thanks!

hi darrenni
Unless the float adjustment screw has been adjusted too far you are probably best fitting new.
