Hi, I have a kitchen floor which was laid in prep for replacing the original 6x6x1 Quarry Tiles back onto it, so it's level is 1 1/4" below that of the ajoining floors. Since this was done and before the tiles have been laid, I have decide to extend the kitchen so have revised my plans to lay the tiles, but need a temporary solution to raise the level to lay lino until I can afford the extension.
There is a dpc and 2" of poly insulation under the concrete floor, so I was thinking of laying some 7mm Laminate insulation slabs and 18mm P5 V313 18mm chipboard floor panels onto this then lino.
Does this sound sensible and should I lay a membrane under the laminate slabs. This is only a temp solution for a few years until I can't bear the wife nagging me to sort the extension :-).
Cheers
Ken
