I have an old wooden floor in a bathroom, seems quite thin to a basement room underneath. I want to renovate the bathroom and put down tiles and have a walk in shower. However I'm not sure the floor is strong enough. How would I go about strengthening the floor? Also to ensure the floor is water tight what can I put over the wooden floor before tiling to ensure there are no leaks as we want to have a walk in shower direct onto the tiles (no shower tray). Any advice would be much appreciated!! Anna
