Floorbboards

by RAD » Wed Apr 25, 2007 10:43 am

Hello first post here so be gentle.
I am going to be converting my garage in to a study and need a bit of advice regarding the joists for the flooring. I have a contractor who is going to be blocking up the old garags door and installing a window. But i will be undertaking the rst of the work myself. I have good electrical and plumbing skills but my joinery is not as good as i would like it to be....
My question is. At present the garage floor is just a concrete block and i will need to raise the floor about 6 inches above that so the new floor is level with the entrance to the room. What is the best way to go about it.

Thanks in advace
