Flooring a Loft - Joist Query

Hi there I have done a bit of searching and I am not sure about the answer.

I would like to floor my loft, for storage only. Xmas dec, old paperwork, telescope and other bits and bobs.

I have measured my joists they are 2 x 6(vertical edge) and there is a gap of 16" between each joist. Is this adequate for laying flooring on?

If you are only going to use the loft for storage then it should be fine.

I had checked that, just the project info never clarified joist sizes. So I hope these joist will cope :D
