Flushing the toilet.

Can anyone help me?A few weeks ago a mains burst on road at the side of my house(water) They came out fixed it.The problem is now.When we flush our toilet it sounds like a cruise liner approaching it sounds like the horn.It keeps doing this till it fills the system.What can this be?

you should get your husband to clean the tank out, there could be a tiny stone in it

could be debris or may be pressure
ask the water company if they adjusted the pressure when carring out the repair if so a you may need to fit some form off stopcock or pressure reducing valve on the pipe supplying water to the toilet or try turning your stopcock down a few turns this may help
