Front Door Sticking In Autumn And Winter Although Fine In The Summer

by rose » Wed Oct 30, 2013 11:15 pm

Hi
Have a newish front door fitted to an old frame. Summer time it opens and closes fine, but come autumn/winter we are unable to use it as it gets stuck and we are unable to even open it. We have sanded down the door frame but it still gets stuck.

Any easy remedies?

Thanks

Hi rose
The usual remedy would be to plane a bit off the door. in a lot of cases this would involve removal of locks etc. or even taking the door off to work on it. So maybe not really an easy remedy.
