Frostproofing Additives for Cement Mixes for Building Garden Wall

by laurencewithau » Thu Jan 14, 2016 11:00 am

Hi, I'm building a garden wall using concrete blocks with mortar.
The only additive I'm using is Febmix, but I've heard that there are more effective frostproofing agents I can use.
The forecast for the next few days where I live, in Wales, if for just above freezing at night.
I understand that mortar without additives should not be used if the temperature will be about 3 degrees in the following few hours.
I'd appreciate any comments or advice.
Thanks, laurencewithau

Dont even start until you have some form of antifreez in the morter and also cover up the work when you have finnished for the day,old blankets, plastic
sheeting any thing will do.
