i have wired a fused socket but the light is on all the time even when i press the switch off , any ideas :scratch:

Can you say what make etc. 13 amp sockets although they can have neon switches are not fused as this is in the plug and although we do have 2, 5 and 15 amp these are rare. If it were a spur unit then we would guess wired wrong way around with incomer to out but can't really do that with a socket so more details please.

You have the in cables on the out terminals and vise versa

I take it you mean a fused connection unit (SPUR )
