please can somebody advise me how to repair a cable in my garden that ( i think ) a rat has chewed through resulting in my garden lights constantly tripping out .i have checked the cable and found it to be in 2 pieces. i guess i need some kind of water proof box then just connect the cable back together again . if what i say is right what is the box callad and where do i get one from .

many thank's

Richard

hi, first of all if your cable is buried it should be in 'rat-proof' armoured cable not twin/E, second all wiring out of doors must be done under bldg regs Part P which means not DIY work, you need registered electrician to do any such work, regards SPARX
