Hanging Wallpaper Horizontally

by jostace » Sat Mar 31, 2012 8:06 pm

Hi, I'm new to this forum and am about to have my kitchen refitted, the only trouble is I want some sort of wood effect on the wall between the worktops and wall cabinets, I dont want to spend a fortune and have seen some wood grain effect wallpaper, but the design is obvisously vertical. Is there any reason why the paper can't be hung horizontally on the wall instead of the conventional way?

Hi, no reason at all. You will just need to make sure that it is really straight otherwise it will stand out like a sore thumb. Another thing will be instead of folding the paper as you would normally do when hanging, ie vertically try folding it concertina style and you will find it easier to hang.
