Heated towel rail

by Sidspanner » Tue Dec 11, 2007 6:06 pm

Hi folks,

I just installed a B&Q towel rail which is working perfectly. However after I did the installation I wondered whether I should have installed a thermostatic valve on it?

1) Is it possible to install a thermostatic valve on a towel rail?

and if so.....

2) Can someone recommend a type which will be suitable?

You can fit TRV's on towel rails, but I wouldn't.

It's the bathroom you want to be watm when getting in and out of shower or bath, plus if all other radiators have TRV's you need at least one without. This allows to water to circulate and prevent damage to boiler and pump.
