Hi, i am looking to buy a house, but it has GCH downstairs, but not up. what im after is is it easy enough to fix it upstairs to the existing system? Also, what sort of cost, im not expecting exact but a round sort of figure? ah yer, just one more, can new fitting rads have the pipes hiden in the walls, or is it all external because it was not fitted when it was built? thanks for your help.

You can chase walls for downstairs radiators, but not necessary upstairs as all the pipes run under the floor and you'll only see about 6" to each radiator valve.

It's very odd to only have GCH downstairs, unless they have just fitted a GCH boiler to an existing solid fuel system. It shouldn't be a problem adding radiators, just tee into the 22mm flow and return.

For labour only I'd say between £150 - £200.
