Help Insulating a Partition Wall in Coverted Garage Office

by Leesus460 » Tue Nov 08, 2016 11:01 pm

When I moved in to my house the previous owner had converted half of the garage into an office and put up a partition wall. The office has been fine throughout the summer but now its winter it is getting freezing out there! (Even with a radiator!) I checked under the plasterboard on the garage side of the wall and discovered that there is no insulation in there I am therefore looking to insulate the partition wall but having never done it before just wanted some advice. The cavity in the wall is 50mm so will 100mm insulation roll squeeze in there? Or would it be best to use 50mm insulation board and then put the plasterboard back up? Are there any other tips you can give me? Cheers Lee

If you are taking off the plaster board then you can add batons of the size you need to give you 100mm.
