Hot Water Cylinder Leaking After Replacement Air Separator

by CoffeeCup1216 » Mon Jan 24, 2022 10:58 am

I have just had work done in my airing cupboard to remove an air separator that was full of sludge. When the system was refilled there was a leak from the indirect coil of the hot water cylinder. The CH system was drained down. The floor boards , on which the cylinder stands, are wet but I expect they will eventually dry

The hot water cylinder was not drained and we have been told we can use the immersion for hot water. I am rather confused why the hot water cylinder will not continue to leak.

Any help would be much appreciated

Hi coffeecup1216,
If the indirect coil is leaking inside the HWT all that will happen is the CH system will be being refilled.
