HOW DO I DIG UP A SHRUB WHICH HAS ITS ROOTS STUCK

by handywoman » Fri Feb 11, 2011 8:07 pm

Hi there everyone, I have a part of my garden which has a walled area.

Within this brick walled area is a gap of abourt 12 inches across and 2 foot high and has been fillted with compost and shrubs for many years.

Unforuantley there are 2 rather large shrubs which have become stuck and I am having great trouble getting the root ball out of the walled area, already broke one garden fork trying to get the whole thing out.

Has anyone got any suggestions on how I get the whole ting out???

Some sort of levergage maybe???

handywoman,
Hire or buy youself a crowbar - this will give you much more leverage.
