How do I unscrew a cross thread screw that is'rounded'?

I am trying to remove a screw with a cross thread which has rounded and therefore will not move?

Easiest way is to just drill the head off with a sharp melal cutting drill bit which is slightly bigger than the shank diameter of the screw in question this should allow you to release whatever is being held in place by the screw.
