How do you Renovate a Table With Marks, Scratches and Holes?

I'm new to the DIY game and I have this used table I got online. It's in pretty good condition, except for a few marks, scratches and chips on the sides.

It's a wooden table with matt white finish.

I want to know how you would bring this table back to it's former glory?

Marks, holes and scratches? I'd start by filling the holes, you can use sawdust and epoxy.

Then sand the whole table down with a pretty coarse grade of sandpaper, and finish with finer grade paper.

Get some fresh paint on there and should be sweet.
