How to build up internal door step height on top of DPC

by TeaCup2026 » Tue Jun 02, 2026 12:49 pm

I need to build up the internal door step height by around 12mm to meet the existing concrete base so that a moisture tolerant self-levelling compound can be poured.

The material used to build up the height will sit directly on top of an existing DPC. What is the best material to use?

Hi teacup2026,
Probably best to use selflevelling compound - use one with latex, 12mm is too thin for a concrete screed.
