How to Connect Sink to Waste Trap (awkward angle!)

Post by eku1s » Sat Aug 17, 2019 11:05 pm

Hi,

I'm in the process of refitting my kitchen and have a Blanco sink which came with a very poorly designed waste kit. The main bowl, secondary bowl and overflow all drain out into the same trap as you'd expect, however it coes out at an awkward angle which is nowhere near the trap. The trap can't be moved back due to certain constraints with existing pipework and appliance drainage.

I have attached some photos of the pipework. I'm struggling to find the correct combintation of parts in order to extend the waste 180 degrees and over into the trap.

From what I gather, the screw threads on the sink and the trap are both BSP 1 1/2". I have found a flexi hose from McAlpine; the Flexcon 9, which seems to be exactly what I need, however nowhere seems to sell it. I've also heard that flexi hoses on waste pipe are no advisable?

The trap also has an extendable spiggot (not pictured) which is removable. This has a rubber seal on top.

I seem to have looked at every combination of parts including converting to solvent weld and back again, also compression fittings, but I seem to be getting nowhere.

Can anyone kindly advise?

Thanks

Luke
