How to fix collapsed wood flooring in door threshold

by C.HAN » Fri Aug 20, 2021 3:26 pm

How can we fix our wood type flooring where it is collapsing between rooms at the door junction. Is it possible to pack something under it to hold it up please?

Hi c.han
You need to determine what is under the sinking floor - without this detail you are unlikely to get advice.

In addition to my original question, we think the floor joists have been affected by a leaking shower in the bathroom next door to the hall way... We bought this bungalow 9 weeks ago and the home survey did not report this. We have a builder booked for end of September to install a new bathroom.. This flooring fixture would be temporary and to prevent it from getting worse.
Thank you

Hi c.han
Since you will be getting a trades person in, suggest you put a piece of ply over the problem area until the floor is lifted.
