How to fix peeled off wallpaper in rented property?

by Elle21 » Tue Feb 16, 2021 10:26 am

I’m a tenant living in a rental property. It’s an old flat and the wallpaper is starting to peel off or flakes off very easily. I would like to fix it as I don’t want to upset my landlord. Can you help?

It looks like the wallpaper might have been painted as well. I don’t have any of the original paper used.

Hi elle21
Sorry but there is very little you can do to reinstate the original finish, filling and trying to add texture while the filler is soft may disguise the damage slightly.

Hi elle21
Suggest you use one of the powder based fillers which you will be able to mix to a consistency which will allow for some sculpturing.
