I had a builder come to install a new back door on Saturday. Unfortunately they've made quite a mess with the sealant around it. The door and frame are both unvarnished wood which I was hoping to varnish to show the natural colour, but both are covered in smears of sealant which I need to remove first.

Does anyone know the best way to remove silicone sealant from wood?

Hi mcdbr
Trim off the excess using a Stanley knife then try a wire brush to get the silicone out of the wood grain.
