I moved into a flat which has metal restrictors on the windows but I don't have the key to remove them. Any advice on what would be the easiest way to get rid of them?

I'm not sure if you've managed to do this by now but, if not, have you got a picture you could post of the restrictor you want to remove, as different ones have different kinds of locks.
