How to Repaint Wood in Bathroom After Mould

by cushion » Sat Aug 10, 2019 10:08 am

Hi all,

I am new to DIY so these questions may be a bit silly!

We had some mould in our bathroom on the wooden plank at the bottom of the bath tub. I sprayed with mould remover and the mould is now gone. Can anyone advise on what's the best way to repaint the affected area? Would it need sanding down first? (See photo of affected area)

Also some of the plastic sealant in my bathroom around the shower screen is very grotty (see other photo). How would I go about clearing it up - I guess I would need to cut it off and replace it with new sealant?

Thanks for any advice!
