Hi there,

After living in the house for around 4 years, the windows in the roof conversion bedroom need some immediate repair and have mould forming too. The wood seems to be a bit too flaky, and I am not sure if sanding it down and applying rot wet hardner with filling may help.

Hi nubidiyer,
Sorry but your chances of renovating the frame and it lasting are pretty remote. Best to get it replaced with a upvc window.
