I'm hopping someone knows of a way to replace this fitting without the massive work I fear is going to be necessary.
One of the fittings for my bathroom tap water has a slow drip. I was going to replace all the external pipe and connectors as they are probably 40+ years old. The exit for the bath water though has been mortared into the wall and the other end of the pipe is not accessible.
Two pictures are of the old sink protruding out of the wall which I can easily replace as it has 30mm or so protruding pipe to work with. The second is of the same type of fitting but installed by a real genius a good 20-30mm into the wall then mortared in place.
These connectors don't leak yet but they are very brittle so it's only a mater of time.
Id rather not need to cut under the bath to get access to the pipe as its all tiles in.
