Hi !
I have built a log cabin in my garden which has a slopping ship-lap roof. The roof is done in a slate effect i.e. each row covers the previous edge.
Under all of the whole roof is a damp proof membrane.
However, I am having problems whereby the rain is tracking the nails through the membrane and then dripping in side.
Unfortunately, I am going to have to take the whole roof off (in the spring/Summer) to try and resolve this issue. But how do people normally stop water tracking the nails ?
I thought about using e.g. silicon but this is a messy and teadious process and I guess there must be an easier method ?
Any advice appreciated !
Cheers
Brett
