How to Turn Radiator Lockshield Valve off due to Leak at Top

by mattdragon2 » Sun Mar 25, 2018 1:44 pm

My radiator has started to leak at the top (rusted where the bleed key goes).

I've turned the thermostat clockwise as much as I can but I believe I need to turn the lockshield valve off too.

From the picture I don't know how to do it? Do I use a screw driver and attempt to turn it clockwise? (I did try this and it was stuck).

When looking at other tutorials, I was expecting some flat metal piece I could turn with a wrench but mine does not seem to have this.

Any advice on how to stop water going into the radiator?
It's causing my heating to stop working as it's losing pressure.
