Improving Brickwork After Removal of Cladding

Post by Rads.23 » Fri Apr 03, 2020 10:23 pm

Hi all,

Hope someone here can help. We previously had cladding on our house which we have gotten rid off. However, even though we used muriatic acid there are still mortar stains in the texture. We used Liquidweather today and that only really turned the bricks greyish in the area it was used. Can anyone advise what we can do?

As we are mid terrace we want to avoid getting a render (also the cost!).

I attach a picture

Thanks!

Hi Rads23,
You can only apply further coats of brick cleaner and allow weathering to take place. Do not be tempted to use a pressure washer because this will remove some of the brick facing.
Regards S.
