Inside condensation build up on the window

by fk333 » Thu Jan 13, 2022 6:25 pm

Hi there,

Every morning I'm getting a build up of moisture on the window inside, and it's causing mold on the frame. Any top tips on how best to deal with this? Pictures attached hopefully.

Thanks in advance

Hi fk333,
Suggest you keep the window on night vent position if it has this capability.

Condensation happens when warm moist air makes contact with a cold surface, in this case a window.

What kind of extraction do you have in your kitchen and bathrooms? Do you have extractor that vent to the outside?

Also, are your external walls of the building single skin, or cavity (doubled skin) walls?
