Insulating interior wall of small room on a budget

Post by rpflancer » Mon Jan 04, 2021 4:53 pm

Hi guys,

I'm just seeking some advise of how to best insulate the room shown in the attached image on a relatively low budget.

I'm looking to get a 5ft tubular heater on the right hand wall to warm the room and as you can see, the room is more like a walk in (and duck) cupboard so this should be sufficient enough to heat the air. Can anybody recommend any material I can put on the wall and ceiling to hold the heat in?

The best material to use here would be Celotex PL4000 boards. The thickness would be up to you on what you use. These boards have PIR insulation attached to plasterboard so you can fix the board directly to the existing ceiling and then plaster or tap and joint over them.
