Insulation alternatives to Kingspan

by Leftosdousis » Mon Oct 12, 2020 5:26 pm

Hi all,

Looking for some advice. We have a project we are working on and so far have worked out all our build-ups (roof, walls, floors, etc) using Kingspan insulation and their online u-value calculator.

We are considering switching to a different manufacturer for something cheaper and potentially greener? The issue is we are in danger of having to redraw all our details and change all our annotation from Kingspan to something else. Rigid insulation preferably as per the current specified products.

Is there an alternative/equivalent to Kingspan that can save us from redrawing an entire tender set? Our build-ups are more or less set and it would be very difficult to change their thickness throughout the build.

Yes there is. You can use Celotex, Quinntherm, Ecotherm etc. All will give the same results. If you are looking for something greener and cheaper with the same results, well it does not exist. Anything greener is more expensive.
