IS RAINWATER DRAINAGE AND WATER WASTE COMBINED IN SAME PIPES

by denz » Sat Jan 10, 2009 2:32 pm

I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF BUILDING A NEW EXTENSION ON THE HOUSE, AND HAVE PUT A NEW 6 WAY INSPECTION MANHOLE TO CONNECT VARIOUS SOIL PIPES IN THE BACK GARDEN.
WHAT I NEED TO KNOW IS IF, I CAN RUN ANOTHER PIPE FROM A RAINWATER GULLEY TO JOIN INTO THIS NEW 6 WAY INSPECTION UNIT AS I HAVE 2 SPARE WAYS LEFT.
THANKS

Hi Denz,

Check where your other rainwater pipes go - to ascertain whether you have a combined drain. Or your local BCO may know.
Its usual that you can tho,the problem is worse the other way -- ie soil to storm.
