Hello

I am re tiling the family bathroom, which isn't a very big room with matching floor and wall tiles.
The tiles are 360x 275 approx.
When on display in the store, there wasn't actually any spacers or grout showing, but i've been assurred that you do need spacers for expansion.
My question therefore is: what size spacers can I use? - i'd like to have the narrowest gap if possible as it looks tidier.

You could use 2mm spacers, it just depends on how accurate the rectangular shape is.

If it's any help I've done a fair bit of tiling in the past and have never used spacers. I've always used matchsticks believe it or not, inserting
the blunt end. Of course the amount you use depends on the tile size for
support. This however won't work vertically, but if you've got a keen eye
it shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks folks - the pattern on the underside of the tiles meant that I couldn't use the 2mm spacers but to be honest, certainly on the floor, the bigger ones look fine.

for the record and as a general rule 2mm spacers are normally used for wall tiles and 4mm for the floor. if fixing tiles to a timber floor where some movement is likely then the wider (4mm) grout joint is vertainly more favourable.

4mm normally only used for wall tiles where large tiles are used.
